JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) Starts on Tuesday January 12, 2016. JOAD allows archers to improve their shooting skills while earning pins for achievement. In order to earn pins archers must be members of USA Archery (usarchery.org) but membership in USA Archery is not required to shoot. Cost for the 10 week session is $15.00 for Prairie Bowmen members and $25.00 for non-members. We are doing 2 sessions each night. Sign in for the first session is 5:30 to 6:00 and we will be shooting from 6:00 to approximately 7:00. Sign in for the second session is from 7:00 to 7:30 and we will be shooting until approximately 8:30. The club can provide equipment if you don’t have any. Tournament will take place on February 13th and 14th at the indoor range at 345 S 14th Street, Lincoln. Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m with a continuous line on Sunday. Cost: Adults $12.oo, Young Adult $8.00 and Cubs $6.00. All members get $2.00 off. The Annual Club Banquet will be February 20, 2016, at the indoor range. We are looking for volunteers to head up, plan, set up and clean up. Please send email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in helping. We will be presenting all club awards at the banquet. Please plan to attend; this will be a social event with no club business so it will be a fun and enjoyable evening for the whole family.
The Jim Iund Award and Ruth Ellis Volunteer of the Year will be determined by an awards committee. If you would like to nominate someone for one of these awards please send your nominations to email@example.com with a letter stating why you feel this person is deserving of this award.
